Growing up in the 1980's was a magical time. It was the golden age of the home computer, where a bedroom industry turned into the global behemoth that it is today.

Being a youngster in the eighties and starting a YTS job, that was Youth Training Scheme for those that are not old enough to remember, in the late 80's meant that I did not have the money to buy the latest computers and games that were coming out at this time. I was lucky enough though to have friends whose parents could afford them and spent a lot of time at their houses playing the fantastic games that the Amiga and Atari ST offered. I had a ZX Spectrum and then a Commodore 64, which I loved and still play regularly, but it was the Amiga and ST that I wanted.

Once the Amiga and ST fell out of favour and prices came down considerably I was able to buy them and start collecting the games that previously were out of reach. This passion never left me and I have continually been purchasing items for nearly three decades, much to my wifes dismay.

I will never sell my Amiga or Atari ST computers, and will still enjoy many happy hours playing games on them, but the time has now come though to start to thin down my collection. Although I am sad about this, it is time to do it and I am also excitied that others will get the opportunity to own and play these great games on these amazing computers.
